After concluding a successful entrepreneurial venture and earning a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University, Chris began his insurance career with Conrade Insurance Group in 2009. He then attended the Hartford School of Insurance. From this time, Chris has worked to develop an extensive list of clients across multiple insurance segments. A fifth generation Kansan and the youngest daughter of an Army Colonel/hospital administrator, Rachel spent decades volunteering in health facilities; seeing first-hand the benefits of quality healthcare given to the youngest patient up to the eldest. She learned that with a lot of knowhow and determination one person, in the right position, can change everything. Thrilled to have her on staff, she is full of vigor and tenacity. Rachel does not know a stranger and, if given the opportunity, she will have people nodding yes and pulling out their calendars to set up an appointment. She brings with her an employment background in advertising and marketing sales, as well as twelve years in higher education. An avid learner, Rachel enjoys analyzing and servicing clients with competency and integrity; working diligently to give them the best policies. When she is not working, she is busy raising two kids with her husband, volunteering at church, specialty boards and community organizations, attending school events and singing professionally, all the while writing a column in the local newspaper. Sidney Francis – Director of Operations
Over her career, Sidney has developed a broad skill set in many categories including accounting, human resources, marketing and sales. She uses these skills to improve overall organizational efficiency, increase profits, and decrease risk both internally and externally. For over seventeen years, she has had the opportunity to work with the largest insurance brokers in the region and with some of the most challenging risks. She developed superior knowledge of property and liability insurance including risk controls, safety training, and analysis of financial reports to assure the protection of corporate assets. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Women of Wichita, the Executive Board of the Park City Chamber, and numerous other boards of non-profit religious organizations. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University in marketing and accounting and her Associate in Commercial Underwriting designation.
Diane Hoheisel – Commercial Lines Account Executive
Enthusiastic and dynamic, Diane comes to our agency with an extensive insurance background. Serving over twenty years in the insurance industry, she is a true professional and a valuable resource on products, policies, and marketing knowledge. Dedicated to her clients with effective service, she is a well trusted account executive who delivers success and helps guide each client forward. Terri Moddelmog – Commercial Lines Account Manager
Another valuable asset to Conrade Insurance Group is Terri Moddelmog with 24 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry. She joined Conrade Insurance Group in 2007, and has earned the API, AIS, and CISR designations making her just as valuable to our clients. Terri has expertise in a variety of industries, however, she is the go to person for commercial construction and commercial bonding exposures. With these types of risks it is imperative to have someone capable of digging deep into workers’ compensation and general liability issues including: experience modifications, client payroll procedures, client procedures for sub-contractors’ certificate requirements, and checking insurance company audits for completeness and accuracy. Terri’s skills are essential to helping our clients control their cost of risk. Terri is also involved with the A Shocks Softball Organization, the Canton/ Galva Sports League, and a past board member of her church organization.
Phyllis West – Commercial Lines Account Manager
Phyllis joined the agency in 2008 bringing with her 27 years of insurance industry expertise. Shortly after arriving at the agency, she earned her CISR designation. Phyllis’ insurance specialization involves physicians’ medical malpractice, independent contractor liability, and hospital liability. She brings value to our medical industry clients with an acute knowledge of requirements with state filings, licensing, and the Health Care Stabilization Fund. As a Pastor’s wife, Phyllis volunteers daily at her church and their charities including, the Harvey County Homeless Shelter, and collects for the Salvation Army food drive.
Jennifer Shipman – Commercial Lines Account Manager
After graduation in 2008 with an associates degree in travel and tourism from Hutchinson County Community College, Jen began her career with us. She has continued her education and furthered her career by becoming an expert in non-profit treatment centers, mental health facilities and hospitals. Jennifer knows the integral parts of professional and general liability insurance, which is key to insuring and protecting unique risks. Jennifer also is a supporter of the Newton Performance Arts Center, the Newton Recreation Center, and volunteers with her local religious organization.
Heidi Richling – Commercial Lines Account Manager
With an Associate in Science Degree from Cloud County Community College and a Bachelor of General Studies from Fort Hays State University, Heidi began working for Conrade Insurance Group in 2009. Heidi has continued her education in the insurance field by perfecting her knowledge in mental health facilities, hospitals, nonprofits, and child advocacy groups. She has industry specific knowledge in human services insurance coverage and add on endorsements available in the market place to provide our clients with the most inclusive coverage available.
Michelle Duerksen – Community Business Account Manager
Since 1980, Michelle has been in the insurance industry. She joined Conrade Insurance Group in 2010, when she became part of our accounting department, bringing insurance specific accounting expertise. Today, Michelle is an account manager specializing in main street business with responsibilities including: servicing a large number of accounts, marketing and new business production for our core clients. Denise Smith – Community Business Account Manager
Denise has worked in the insurance industry since 1996. Her career started with a local insurance agency, specializing in the hospitality industry and included developing and servicing a program endorsed by Marriott International, Inc. This opportunity allowed Denise to work with nationally recognized hospitality corporations and their franchisees around the United States and Canada. In June of 2005, Denise joined a national broker where she worked with commercial middle markets accounts and surety. Her customer service duties focused on national public storage management companies and their owners, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, and school districts. Martha Florez – Personal Lines Supervisor
As a department supervisor, Martha handles the training of personal lines account managers and auditing of workflow procedures to ensure policies are being serviced in the most efficient and professional manner. She has been a part of the agency since 2004. She also serves as the agency marketing contact and helps to support the agency website and policy interface. Martha enjoys the relationships she has built over the years with the client base and providing exceptional customer service in her capacity. She was recently recognized by the Newton Chamber of Commerce for delivering outstanding customer service within the community and has volunteered for the Harvey County Safe House.
Diane Hardtarfer – Accounting Supervisor
Diane is a vital part to Conrade Insurance Group and has been with the agency since 1994. Diane has earned her bachelor’s degree from Bethel College and performs multiple duties as part of the accounting department: financial analysis, payroll, producer compensation, and benefit administration stand out among the many varied functions she has performed over the years. Diane’s ability to produce equitable business intelligence from all areas of the agency is key to our growth. She also serves as a board member of a local non-profit organization and is active in local United Way events.

Our first point of contact for our clients service needs is our front desk receptionist. Lydia has over 5 years of experience in the financial industry and is skilled in customer service and office support. Lydia offers efficient clerical/administrative support, directs incoming business, and handles the daily office management functions of the agency.
